Rooted & Rising is about digging deep to rise above.
In spite of the pain, in spite of the past, in spite of whatever we’ve been through that makes us feel unworthy.
It’s about coming together to celebrate the process of stumbling & rising again.
It’s a space where we can sit and sift through our brokenness, raise our hands, and proudly proclaim, “Me too.”
It’s remembering we don’t have to do this alone.
It’s giving ourselves permission to show up and be seen.
It’s learning how to own our heartbreak, speak our truth, and share the stories that brought us to where we are today.
It’s remembering there’s still value and insight to be found in the spaces in-between, in the depths of our darkness.
It’s a reminder that regardless of how different we appear to be, we are all just humans being. We each have different ways of being, but it’s coming back to this truth that has the power to connect us in the midst of our loneliness and uncertainty.
Because your sadness, your pain, your fears, your insecurities, your doubts, and your past are not scars you have to hide.
They aren’t the qualities that disqualify you from participating fully.
They’re the badges of honor that show you fell down but still decided to get up.
They are signs of courage & bravery.
They are all welcome here.
No more pretending that you’re put together and have it all figured out.
Because you know what?
We’ve all been there and tried that for so long and it just hasn’t worked.
The whole pretending that everything is okay when you’re falling apart at the seams.
It’s not worth it anymore.
So here’s to something new.
Here’s to getting brutally honest, with ourselves and with each other.
Because our most personal experiences are also the most universal.
So cheers to the messiness, the beauty, and the community.
Cheers to making friends out of strangers from all over the world, to making dreams a reality, to lifting one another up in the process, to coming together to hold space for where we’ve been and where we want to go.
This is what it means to be Rooted & Rising
